149 Community Members Benefited from Free Specialist Health Services

Kathmandu, Nepal – Demonstrating its commitment to accessible and preventive healthcare, Chirayu National Hospital & Medical Institute Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 2, successfully organized a Free Urology and Kidney Health Camp at Narsingh Marg, Kathmandu.

The camp aimed to promote early detection and management of kidney diseases, prostate disorders, kidney stones, and other urinary tract conditions. A total of 149 community members benefited from the camp through free specialist consultations and selected diagnostic services, including laboratory tests and ultrasonography (USG), as required.

The health camp commenced at 7:00 AM and was originally scheduled to conclude at 2:00 PM. However, due to the unexpectedly high number of participants seeking medical consultation and diagnostic services, the program was extended until 4:45 PM. The extended service hours ensured that every attendee received proper evaluation, consultation, and medical guidance from the healthcare team.

The camp was led by Prof. Dr. Uttam Kumar Sharma, Senior Consultant Urologist and Kidney Transplant Surgeon, alongside a dedicated team of specialists including Dr. Rina Basnet (Consultant Physician), Dr. Prajwal Dahal (Radiologist), Dr. Sadhana Acharya Upadhyaya (Radiologist), Dr. Sadiksha Joshi (Medical Officer), and Dr. Sachin Telgudkar Yadav (Medical Officer). Their collective expertise enabled participants to receive comprehensive assessments and personalized recommendations regarding their health concerns.

Participants were screened for kidney-related diseases, prostate gland disorders, kidney stones, and urinary tract conditions. In addition to specialist consultations, free laboratory tests and ultrasonography services were provided, allowing many individuals to undergo important health evaluations that they may otherwise have delayed.

As part of the hospital's commitment to promoting long-term healthcare access, Chirayu National Hospital Membership Cards were also made available to interested participants during the camp. The initiative received a positive response, with 26 individuals registering for the Chirayu Membership Card, enabling them to access various hospital benefits and services in the future.

Expressing his appreciation for the initiative, Mr. Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, Ward Chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 2, thanked Chirayu National Hospital for organizing the camp and bringing specialist healthcare services directly to the community. He stated that the program exceeded his expectations in terms of both service quality and public participation.
